I taught 15 to 20 elementary-age children once a week about nutrition and health through the partnership of the Knox County Health Department and Knoxville Parks and Recreation. I was assigned to a community center where I educated children about nutrition with a goal toward reversing the obesity epidemic. I discussed the importance of a healthy lifestyle with the children using the Nutrition Education Activity Training (NEAT) program.
