Mercy St. Mary's is a hospital located in Knoxville, TN. I volunteered for the chief dietitian once a week for 3-5 hours. I surveyed the patients to determine the quality and temperature of the food and checked the conditions of the nourishment room and refrigerator. I made sure outside policies were visible, the refrigerator temperatures were correct, and whether or not there was outside food present and if it was labeled. I also analyzed data collected from taking the temperatures of meals going out to patients' rooms starting when the food was on the line to the time right before it went up to the floors and into the patient's room. I worked with the kitchen manager to make snack bags for the patients and sometimes took orders from the patients.
